Anatomical BioModelling is a technology whereby patient's medical
scan data may be used to manufacture an exact plastic replica (BioModel)
of a selected anatomical structure via rapid prototyping (RP). RP
is a generic term defining a group of related technologies that
enable layer-based freeform fabrication of physical objects from
digital 3D data sources, typically Computer Assisted Design (CAD).
BioModelling is thus the use of Rapid Prototyping with 3D medical
imaging as its data source, and as such is distinct from the rest
of Rapid Prototyping. Here you can learn about the process and history
